The Cambridge Albion Society ( a children's fishing club) crossing St Ives bridge in August 1936. 700 junior anglers from Cambridge walked in procession over the bridge, led by the deputy mayor and councillors. This was for their annual competition to see which child could catch the longest fish. After tea in the Corn Exchange, 93 prizes were presented! |
