The St Ives Dickensian Christmas Market on Sunday December 5th 2004 was much larger than that of the previous year and many more stall-holders were in costume. It extended all the way along Bridge Street, as well as Market Hill.

The steam-driven Victorian Galloper carousel was a big attraction. Lots of people chose to watch the fireworks from the bridge from where the photo on the right was taken.

Of course, you could say that St Ives doesn't really need any extra lights to look attractive. This is the everyday view from the bridge looking along the Great Ouse towards the parish church in the distance.
