Oddities: unusual photos

Cromwell statue
It doesn't look as though Oliver Cromwell approves of Christmas decorations. St Ives can't afford too many of them anyway!

Christmas lights
Crown Street in the centre of St Ives, a week before Christmas 2001.
Sun seen througfh tree
An unusual view of the St Ives by-pass (it's on the bridge in the background at the bottom of the picture!). This is the tree you can see from it, as you look over to St Ives. Photo by Tim Grosset.
Shop for sale
It's not just the stock that's for sale, but the whole shop! This was a toy shop on The Waits in March 2002, one of the many small local shops that unfortunately find it a struggle to survive.
Bridge in mist
Late afternoon mist in December. The Quay area has its attractions in all seasons.
Sunset
Sunset behind Houghton Mill.
